"A Question of Degree", 2007. 25x20 cm.

"The Weight of Water", 2006. 18x16 cm.

Chrsitopher Orr is along with Michael Borremans one of the most intriguing painters in the contemporary art world. His very small canvases feature a strange world which lead us to think about surrealism, Neo Rauch, Weird science, Cinema, Romanticism....and other worlds. And what it is really striking is....that when looking at his paintings you´re able to enter his world...falling under his spell....

Statuephilia. The British Museum

Tim Noble and Sue Webster. "Dark Stuff", 2008.

Marc Quinn. "Siren", 2008.

Antony Gormley. "Case for an Angel I", 1989.

Ron Mueck. "Mask II", 2001/2002.

If you are in London you still have a few days to visit this exhibition at the British Museum. Although i´m not a great admirer of the work by Antony Gormley and Marc Quinn, i have to say, to be honest, that the works they featured here are both quite impressive, specially the sculpture by GORMLEY, you´ll find it just when entering the museum and it´s quite magical,....despite the crowd....

There are also sculptures by Tim Noble & Sue Webster, a really interesting piece which toys with shadows ( in fact they have been making this kind of pieces for quite a while...) , and a work by the ubiquitous (and boring......) Damien Hirst....
