Katy Moran

"Redcat", 2007. http://www.andrearosengallery.com/

"Nature Boy", 2007. http://www.andrearosengallery.com/

Salters Ridge, 2007. http://www.modernart.net/

Meeting in Love, 2007. http://www.modernart.net/

Katy Moran is a great painter. Her small canvases are filled with passion and romanticism. In her works we see how expressionism and impressionism coexist creating something brilliant and new. The result: a painting free and elegant. Her knowledge of art history allows her to quote some masters of the XIXth. century like Turner or Delacroix but always in a very personal way. Keep an eye on her, she is going to be something.........!

Muntean&Rosemblum

Muntean&Rosenblum are very well-known artists, but i think their small drawings are less known. In these drawings you´ll find their whole world in a small scale. Some times to buy a good and representative small work of art , like a drawing, it´s much better than to acquire a huge painting. There are a lot of collectors, out there, who think in terms of size instead of quality. If you have some doubts when buying art, please! ask a professional who can advise you and help you to buy the best piece according to your budget, you´ll never regret it.

They are represented by the following art galleries:

The new Saatchi Gallery. "AHMM" architects.

Xiang Jing, "your Body", 2005

Shen Shaomin, "Unknown creature - Mosquito" 2002

Zhang Wang (left) and Zhang Xiaogang (right)

Zheng Guogu, "Waterfall" 2003.

Zhang Huan, "ash Head nº 1. 2007.

Liu Wei, "love it!, Bite it!" 2005-2007.

Everybody talked about the new Saatchi Gallery, but nobody talked about the architects that made this beautiful project. "AHMM" or "Allford Hall Monaghan Morris", http://www.ahmm.co.uk/ are the architects behind this project. To be honest i think the building is more interesiting than the chinese collection, although you´ll find a few really impressive works by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu, Zheng Guogu, Liu Wei and Zhang Huan.

My favourite artists at Frieze Art Fair 2008 -2-

Tomoaki Suzuki at "Corvi-Mora Gallery" in London, was another nice surprise, although i already knew his work, i was quite impressed by the artist´s sensibility. He is an intelligent observer, he goes very deeply in his analysis of the individual.

My favourite artists at Frieze Art Fair 2008 -1-

David Altmejd at "Modern Art Gallery" in London, he was without any doubt one of the most stimulating artists you could see during the fair. Impressive, beautiful and disturbing at the same time. One of the most interestings young sculptors of the moment, a must-have! You can see more work by him at Modern Art Gallery in London, where his new work is featured. If you are not in London you can see some images of the exhibition at the Modern Art site:

Wolfgang Tillmans

At Palais de Tokyo, Paris 2002. http://www.palaisdetokyo.com/

"Lighter" II, III and IV at his studio.

At the Louisiana Museum for Modern e Kunst, Humbelbaek, 2003

At Frieze Art Fair 06´ at Juana de Aizpuru´s stand. http://www.friezeartfair.com/

"Elephant man" and "End of land III" at home.

Wolfgang Tillmans one of the most wonderfull artists in the world! I truly adore his work....he can be romantic, modern, and he is creating one of the most interestings works in the contemporary art world.
Tillmans makes an amazing work which depicts perfectly our modern society. I think he is quite ahead of his time and as a person he seems to be quite down to hearth....He won the Turner Prize in 2000. I would say more things about his work, but i think these images can speak by themselves....
